Everything you need to know to properly store your tires
Proper storage of your tires is important. This is not just to preserve the appearance of the tire, but also to extend its life. A winter tire in good condition can reduce braking distance by 25%.
Do we need to remember that, on average, almost 40% of accidents occur during the winter months! Here are some tips to help you keep them well.
A cozy corner
Ideally, keep your tires in a dry, temperate place (between 10 and 25 degrees Celsius), well ventilated and away from the sun or a heat source (like a generator or a heating line). In poor conditions, the rubber will tend to harden, deform and even crack.
If you plan to store them outside, be sure not to put them in direct contact with the ground. Instead, cover them with waterproof covers to protect them from the weather and dust.
